Cord Blood Banking

How much did it cost to “family/private bank” the cord blood?? And also what would I need to do if I wanted to donate it? Do I have to send away for a kit or something? Can I just tell them at the hospital that I want to donate it………any info you can give me would help. [...]

I suppose one would rather keep it incase their own child needs it in the future seeing as it’s an exact match…… but the possibility of them needing it is low, and if you were to donate it and other people were donating it, then does that mean there would most likely be cord blood available from [...]

some peoplehave mentioned donating cord blood and i didn’t know this was an option and now would like to consider doing this in the future, if you donated your babys cord blood did ou get charged anything for it? I am assuming no and whoever uses it in the future will pay for it…. correct?
